With ProfNet

Welcome to ProfNet! We're so glad to have you in our community, and hope you find ProfNet to be a valuable addition to your media relations strategy.

By now, you should be actively receiving the ProfNet queries to both your personal email address and to your ProfNet Inbox. Read on to learn more about getting started with your subscription.

Getting too many emails? Not enough? Wrong kind?

You can customize your ProfNet query email feed by logging into your ProfNet account and navigating to Inbox > Adjust Filters.

From this area, you can select your preferred query categories/subcategories and how often you receive the queries throughout the day. You can also specify to receive queries targeted to certain geographic regions only.

To expand a settings area, click the plus sign (+) in the header. Select your desired preferences and be sure to save your changes.

Ready to reply to journalists?

Since ProfNet queries are sent to both your ProfNet Inbox and your personal email inbox, you may respond to them via two different methods.

Reference this section for information on responding to queries via your ProfNet Inbox ("in-system").

Reference this section for information on responding to queries via your personal email program ("out-of-system").

Visit the FAQ section for query response tips.

Want to be more proactive?

The reverse of a query, Expert Alerts allow you to present your organization's Experts for comment on any timely subject matter. These pitches are shared with thousands of subscribing journalists, and are posted publicly on PRNewswire.com and on the PR Newswire for Journalists web site for media use.

There is no limit to how many Expert Alerts you may submit within your ProfNet subscription. Find a reference guide here, and learn more about the submission process here.
